Dr. Crandall, Professor of Internal Medicine at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Centre and Director of the Thermal and Vascular Physiology Laboratory, joins the Seminar Series to present Thermoregulatory and cardiovascular consequences of severe burn injuries: Implications for exercise and its prescription. Crandall is the recipient of over $12M funding and he has an oustanding record of publications in his 22+ years of research. Crandall investigates important questions pertaining to the effects of heat and cold exposure on autonomic control of the vasculature as well as controllers and modifiers of efferent thermoregulatory responses; namely skin blood flow and sweating in resting and exercising humans.
