IWF

The critical health challenges of our day transcend disciplines.

Our ability to address them depends on health professionals working collaboratively to bring our combined experiences, expertise and knowledge to bear on the questions of our time. The Innovations in Wellness Fund (IWF) was created to promote research engagement with eligible industry and community partners in their joint exploration of translational wellness research.

Established with the pledge of $150,000 by The Impact Foundation, the IWF launched in September 2015. Applications will be reviewed and selected in January 2016.

With the support of philanthropic donors and by accessing the Mitacs Accelerate program, IWF has been created to foster partnerships between companies and academia and promote world-class research that aligns with the definition of the World Health Organization on health: “A state of complete physical mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
